So, I have been using last.fm to track what I listen to since April 2006.
According to my profile, I listened to 108,491 songs.
Assuming that the average song is 3:30-4:00 minutes long, that makes for 263-301 days of nonstop music playing in the last 1,275 days (approximate).
So about 20% of my life for the last few years has had music playing in the background.
Wow.
If I'm awake for about 16 hours a day, that means I listen to music about 3 hours a day, or so. When you put it that way, it doesn't sound quite so bad.
Feel free to correct my math.
